KANHA NATIONAL PARK TOURS

The rich sal and bamboo forests, green meadows and valleys of Kanha offered inspiration to renowned writer Rudyard Kipling for his well-known novel “The Jungle Book". The Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh came into existence in the year 1955 and forms the fundamental of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, formed in 1974 under ‘Project Tiger’.

Wildlife : Being a refuge for the Royal Bengal Tigers, Kanha National Park attracts a lot of wildlife aficionados. Other animals comprise of Tiger, Sambar, Langur, Barking Deer, Chital, Sloth Bear, Barasingha, Gaur, Chousingha, Gaur, Wild Dog, Wild Pig, Black Buck, Wild Boar, Rudd Mongoose, Hyena, Indian Fox, Indian Hare and Badger.

Location : The park is situated at Mandla & Balaghat Districts of Madhya Pradesh State in Central India.

Best Time To Visit : Mid-October to June End

Temperature : The climate in Kanha National Park is extreme, with summer temperatures rising to 43 0 C and winter dropping to 18 0 C
